Getting Your M-1 Student Visa for Flight Training in the U.S.
Slipstream Aviation is approved by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to issue the paperwork needed to help you obtain your M-1 Visa to come and complete your flight training in the U.S.
International students, please contact us for an application and detailed instructions on how to navigate the U.S. student visa application process. We will help you “pilot” through the following steps necessary to come to the U.S. for your aviation training. A summary of the steps involved is below.
2. Submit your flight training application to Slipstream Aviation. (This allows us to prepare the I-20 form you will need for your M-1 Visa.) Our application fee is $300 (or $375 for expedited I-20 shipping).
- You will need a current and valid passport to apply for a visa.
- You must also be able to provide documentation that shows you have funds available for flight training and living expenses.
- Please confirm whether or not you need to apply for a visa. If you are planning to travel to the U.S. on a B visa (for business or tourism), you are allowed to complete a course of study while in the U.S. as long as you do not spend more than 18 hours a week on the course.
3. Complete the SEVIS I-901 form for student exchange visitors.
4. Complete the DS-160 form for a nonimmigrant (student) visa.
5. Contact your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate to schedule an interview.
6. Initiate the background check with the U.S. TSA.
7. Confirm your training start date and then plan your trip to Dallas, Texas.
